Travel (DISCUSSION essay)
Some
people say cheap air travel is good because it enables ordinary people to
travel. While others argue that it is bad for the environment. Discuss both
views and give your opinion.
Nowadays
traveling by air is not as expensive as it was years ago. Even average people
can travel by plane because of cheap airlines' offers. Nevertheless, the environment
can be in danger because of it. I am going to prove that there are advantages
and disadvantages of cheap air travel.
Undoubtedly,
there are many major advantages to inexpensive travel. In the 21st century traveling
by plane is as common as traveling by car in previous century because of low
costs. People are often able to visit their family or friends even when the
distance between them is very far. Moreover, they are able to see more places in
a shorter period of time. Besides that, work migration is easier than before.
This is the reason why so many Poles migrated to the United Kingdom. Some of
them can even get home to Poland once a month because of cheap excellent airline
offers. In addition, traveling can free you and expand your horizons in more
spontaneous way.
Nevertheless,
there are some disadvantages to cheap flying. Firstly, frequent flights cause
air pollution. It has been proved that planes produce many tons of carbon-dioxide
which is dangerous to our
environment. Besides that, people on holiday often destroy the natural
environment accidentally and sometimes deliberately killing endangered species.
To sum up,
I am inclined to believe that because of cheap air travels more people can explore
the world. On the other side of the stick is the argument for the earth which I
believe should be more respected by the human race.
