[Letter 4] A holiday competition - invitation letter

You won a competition and received a vacation for two as a prize. Write a letter to ask him/her to go on holiday with you.

In the letter, you should:

·         tell him/her about the competition you won,

·         state what kind of vacation it is,

·         explain why you would like him/her to go on holiday with you

Dear Justine,

Thanks for your last letter. I'm writing to you to ask if you'd like to go with me on a vacation this summer.

Last week in Warsaw there was a famous 10 km run which was sponsored by Decathlon. As the happy winner of that run, I was given a special prize, a vacation for two.

This prize is an all-inclusive holiday in the Canary Islands between July, 15th and July, 30th this year. The flight leaves Warsaw and goes direct to Lanzarote island. The hotel, Royal Castle, is fully paid for by the sponsor.

I’d be so happy if you could go on this holiday with me because you're my girlfriend and I'd really love to go with you. Also, as I remember you always said you wanted to go there in summer and have fun on the beach.

Hope to hear from you soon. Love to the family. (Best wishes to the family.)

Lots of love,
Michael
